When a relationship formed online looks too good to be true.

HeartOSINT is an assistant that teaches you to recognise psychological manipulation in relationships formed online. It explains the patterns scammers use and helps you keep a clear head before money and trust are gone.

What HeartOSINT does

01

Analyses messages

Paste a message and the system looks for twenty-two named manipulation tactics, explaining each one it finds.
02

Teaches through lessons

Thirty-five lessons on the psychology of scammers: why the methods work and how to spot them.
03

Practises through scenarios

Thirty-three simulated conversations, each ending with the question of whether this is a scam.
04

Reads real cases

Documented cases show how a fraud unfolded, from first contact to the loss.

How much money disappears, and why fraud is harder to spot

IC3 Annual Report 2024, fraud in relationships formed online

Last year, more than $929 million in losses from fraud in relationships formed online was reported in the United States alone, a 38 per cent increase year on year. People over the age of sixty suffered 63 per cent of all losses. The FBI warns that translation by artificial intelligence and fabricated video are making older ways of spotting fraud less and less reliable.

What this means for victims

Fraud in a relationship formed online is not just a financial loss, it is psychological manipulation that unfolds over weeks or months. By the time a victim realises what is happening, the emotional attachment is already deep, and every conversational pattern is designed to reinforce it.

Scammers now use artificial intelligence for translation, fabricated video for live calls and organised teams running hundreds of conversations in parallel. Older ways of checking, such as reverse image search, are no longer enough.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps

01

Paste a message or pick a scenario

Enter part of the conversation that concerns you, or choose one of 33 ready-made scenarios to practise recognising fraud patterns.

02

HeartOSINT spots the patterns

The system recognises the tactics present in the text, each with a name and an explanation of why it works.

03

You decide with a clear head

You learn what to do: who to contact, what to keep as evidence and how to break contact without further emotional harm.

What HeartOSINT does not do

01

It does not judge the person

HeartOSINT recognises patterns in the text you entered. If it finds no tactics, that does not mean the person is genuine, only that the text holds none. A short or vague message often does not carry enough to work with.
02

It does not store messages

No message is sent to a server or stored, neither on your device nor in the cloud. The analysis runs in your browser, and closing the tab clears everything.
03

It does not replace talking to a person

If you are still worried, confide in someone you trust or get in touch with us. The tool helps you decide with a calmer head, it does not decide for you.

Free for personal use, licensed to institutions

For you personally HeartOSINT is free. No account, no subscription, no limit on the number of queries and no hidden fees. It is free because we believe knowledge about manipulation should be available to everyone, not only to those who can pay for it.

It is charged for only to institutions that take it up for their own people or put it in front of their customers, meaning banks, telecoms, insurers and payment firms. A licence does not unlock a different tool; it buys join codes and measurement, a report of which tactics got past which group. An institution can start with a pilot.

Why a cyber security firm builds this

SAME PATTERNSFraud by message and fraud inside a relationship share the same psychological model: urgency, authority, emotion. What protects an institution also protects a person.
KNOWLEDGE GOES PUBLICHeartOSINT is our way of giving away, free, what usually stays inside proposals and reports, to the people who need it most.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCEWe track how scammers use artificial intelligence in attacks on institutions, which is why we noticed early that the same methods were entering everyday conversations.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often about HeartOSINT.

We are an institution. Do we have to buy a licence for our people to use HeartOSINT?

You do not. Everything the tool does your people can use free of charge and without an account, exactly like anyone else. A licence buys what free use does not give you: a join code per department and a report of which tactics got past which group. Nobody creates an account and the institution never receives a list of who did what. The second licence puts the same tool in front of the institution’s customers, linked from online banking or from the warning shown before a payment is confirmed, and the institution receives aggregate figures on what its customers do not recognise. The terms are on the page for institutions.

Does HeartOSINT have to be installed?

It does not. HeartOSINT is a website: open it in your browser and it works straight away. There is nothing to set up and no browser add-on, and the tool asks for no access to your messages or accounts. You paste the message yourself.

Can HeartOSINT check a photograph or a profile?

It cannot. HeartOSINT works with the text of a conversation and recognises manipulation tactics inside it. A reverse image search is something you do separately; the tool does not do it for you.

Can I use HeartOSINT for a relationship that is not romantic?

You can. The tactics HeartOSINT recognises appear in every form of social manipulation, from business fraud to fake messages. The focus is on fraud in online relationships, but the analysis applies more widely.

The money has already gone. What now?

Call your bank immediately and ask it to try to stop or recall the payment, because the first hours are when the chances are best. Then report the case to the police and keep everything: the conversation, the profile, account numbers and wallet details if the money left in cryptocurrency. HeartOSINT is not a reporting service and contacts nobody on your behalf.
